Lavender Syrup

I'm going to put my lavender up to dry while I'm on vacation, and when I get back I'm going to make Lavender Syrup. Maybe if I can get some nice looking little bottles it might make a nice gift to bring to summer parties.

  1. I'm trying a lavender-ginger syrup from The Herbal Kitchen right now. It smells lovely!

    1/2 c. water + 1/2 c. sugar + 1 T. chopped fresh ginger + 2 T. fresh or dried lavender buds (this was about half of our bundle). Bring all ingredients to full boil in a small saucepan. Take off heat and steep for 15 min. They also include a recipe for lavender mai tai's. Might have to give that a try!
